Haiku Poem: Earthquake

Earthquake shakes city.

Every tribe, tongue, and nation

Plead for God’s mercy.

When a natural disaster occurs, most people panic. They fear death and call upon something greater to save them. When believers are in trouble, they have hope. Their hope can be found in God. Psalm 37:39 makes this clear: “The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble.”

It is comforting to know that no matter how dreadful our circumstances become, even in an earthquake, we can trust in God’s protection over us. He will never leave us or forsake us (Deut. 31:6). Do you believe this truth? I hope you do. Blessings!
