Leading me safely to shore
From the waves that roar.
Any boat captain will tell you lighthouses are essential for leading them safely to shore.
During storms, it can be difficult to traverse through the roaring, tempestuous waves. Having a lighthouse can give you confidence and hope to make it back to shore.
God is our lighthouse. He leads us safely through this sinful world. When we are lost, his light beams clearly through the fog and darkness that encompasses us. You can count on Him to get you through any storm.
