Haiku Poem: Grieving Rain

Singing with the rain.

Twirling my red umbrella

Under grieving clouds.

Singing is a powerful force. When people experience grief, they may sing to cast out their deep-seated turmoil from within.

In this haiku, the melodious rain droplets are singing alongside the person with the umbrella. I wanted to convey this idea of joy. Joy is not happiness. Joy is choosing to be positive within our trials.

The person is singing here in grief, but the twirling of the umbrella demonstrates hope. Red is an emotionally intense color so that is why I chose it as the umbrella.

If you are experiencing grief or pain, there is always hope. Joy can still be achieved. Ask God to fill you with His love. Cast your burdens on Him because He cares for you!
