Poem: My Dearest Outcasts

Good morning outcasts

Roaming around like ghosts

Do you feel jaded the most?

Well listen to these words now:

You are loved by God most High

He died for your many sins

So you could live righteous again.

You are not hidden from His eyes.

You may be ignored by people

A shadow ousted from the sun

But Jesus loves you a ton

He is the only Son that matters.

Goodnight outcasts

I enjoyed our conversation today

I hope you have been swayed

To believe our Creator loves you

In each and every single way.

I wrote this poem to encourage people who feel looked down upon and jaded from society. Scripture makes it clear that God loves the widows and orphans in distress (James 1:27). In fact, the Lord says that a pure and undefiled religion is to visit outcasts and pray for them.

If you feel like a ghost ignored by your family or co-workers, remember that there is a God who loves you. There is a God who thinks about you all the time. He died for your sins. He wishes only the best for you. He sent His Son Jesus to die in your place so that you could have a relationship with Him. This is unconditional love.

This poem was also meant to heal my heart. There are times when I feel like a ghost. There are moments when I think I am merely a shadow walking around, ousted by the sun. Ousted by those who are superior to me like my employees or friends with better jobs. But I try to remind myself each and every single day that the eternal king of this universe cares for me. This is incredible. This is true. Blessings to you!
