Haiku Poem: The Soul

What does it profit

someone who gains the whole world

but loses their soul?

Jesus once told his disciples: “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul (Mark 8:36)?” The answer is clear: There is nothing more valuable than one’s soul and eternal destiny.

Money, prestige, power, success, or any other idol that competes for your relationship with God is not worth it. The soul is irreplaceable. It is infinitely valuable.

In this world, all that we see around us is temporary and fading away. The only true entity that is permanent is the soul God has given to us. Cherish your soul. You will have it forever. Blessings!
