“Adonai, who may dwell in your tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? The one who walks with integrity, who does what is right, and speaks trust in his heart.” Psalm 15:1-2
Heavenly Father, to dwell in your presence is an honor. To worship you in spirit and truth on your holy mountain is reserved for those who obey your commands. As David states here in psalms that the one who walks with integrity, who does what is right, and speaks trust in his heart will be able to abide in you.
May we continue to put off the old self and embrace your Holy Spirit. Convict, strengthen, and purify our hearts so we will walk in integrity and righteousness, giving glory to you. As representatives of your kingdom, may we bear your image and reject conforming to the pattern of this self-focused world.
“Who does not slander with his tongue, does not wrong his neighbor, and does not disgrace his friend, who despises a vile person in his eyes, but honors those who fear Adonai.” -Psalm 15:3-4
Righteous King, the tongue is a powerful muscle that can be used to either bless or curse others. May we use our tongue to lift up people instead of break them down. May we use our tongue to honor and revere people rather than slander and disgrace others. O God, may your Spirit work mightily in our lives so we do not wrong our neighbor or disgrace a friend. Guide us to live according to your greatest command: Love God and love humanity with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.
“Who keeps his oath even when it hurts, and does not change, who lends his money without usury, and takes no bribe against the innocent. One who does these things will never be shaken.” Psalm 15:5
Almighty Redeemer, you have kept your covenant with us. You have promised to protect and guard us from the evil one. May we also honor our oaths and display your kindness to many generations. Let us not take advantage of people or take bribes to build wealth. Instead, let’s store our treasures in heaven by being generous with our wealth and helping those who are in need.
When we abide by your principles, we will never be shaken. By adhering to your commandments and abiding in your strong right hand, no one can snatch us away. You are a strong and mighty deliverer. May we forever trust in you. In Jesus name I pray, amen!
