The sea grinds its teeth.
The wind roars above the crest.
Waves come crashing in.
Have you ever been to the beach and noticed when a storm is about to begin? The sea becomes more intense as if it’s grinding teeth. The wind picks up and the waves get larger. Soon, waves start crashing in.
Life is the same way. There are many struggles we experience. We may have signs that our situation will get tough just like the wind signals a storm approaching. But most of the time, we are caught off guard. That’s why we need God as our solid rock to get through any tough storm. He is our firm foundation.
