Galaxies of dust.
Swirling the infinite sky.
A dancing cosmos.
What do you think about when looking up at the starry night? Does it excite you? Frighten you? Are you in wonder? Do you contemplate the meaning of existence? Are you just thankful for being alive?
I am sure all of us experience different emotions. When I look up, I can’t help but meditate on the infinite splendor of our universe. It’s hard to imagine how the nearest star (besides the sun) is 4.2 light-years away. Going 35,000 miles per hour, it would take 81,000 years to get there. Simply astonishing.
And yet, the stars seem so close. They are vibrant, full of life, and seem to dance in the night sky. They are galaxies of dust, swirling endlessly in the night. We may never be able to reach them with our hands, but we definitely can gaze at their beauty. God truly is a master artist. Blessings!
