Haiku Poem: The Porch

Wooden rocking chair.

Sit to hear blue jays singing

Looking from the porch.

This visual is about the wonder of existence. The rocking chair symbolizes memory and time. When rocking on a chair, introspection comes to mind.

The wood encapsulates an old fashioned piece of furniture that has seen many beauties of nature. In fact, it is a piece fashioned from nature by human hands. It can empathize with its surroundings.

Blue jays are my favorite birds. They are in many of my poems. They are lovely creatures and bring joy to my heart.

Looking from the porch makes me think of waking up early in the morning when there is peace and quiet. Then you wait for the birds to whistle and wake the soul from sleep.
