5 Reasons Christians Should Not Celebrate Halloween

Here are the 5 reasons some Christians might avoid celebrating Halloween with corresponding Scripture references. I have also attached a Youtube video I created on this subject below:

1. Pagan Origins:
   • Scripture Reference: Deuteronomy 12:30-31 (NIV) – “Be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.’ You must not worship the Lord your God in their way.”
2. Occult and Dark Themes:
   • Scripture Reference: Ephesians 5:11 (NIV) – “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
3. Focus on Fear and Death:
   • Scripture Reference: 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV) – “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
4. Commercialization and Materialism:
   • Scripture Reference: Matthew 6:24 (NIV) – “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
