Poem: God Of Refuge

When shadows darken the soul

And hope hides behind the horizon

I run to the God of peace

And my worries cease.

When winter fails to bring spring.

And dreams are lost at sea

I cry out to the God of mercy

My parched lips no longer thirsty.

When flowers dry out in the heat

And birds forget to sing at dawn.

I look to the Creator God above

My soul carried away by His love.
