Haiku: Nature’s Mirror

The mirror is fake.

The lake’s reflection is a

More natural me.

Oftentimes, we focus on the outside self as the genuine person inside. However, our true identity exists more on the inside than the outside.

For this reason, I thought about the reflection of a mirror versus a lake. The mirror may be physically clearer than the lake, but the lake, being in “nature,” is more natural and true to the real self.
