Haiku Poem: Hidden Winter

Snow covered mountains.

Hidden by nebulous clouds.

Where did winter go?

It’s hard to believe you could be in a tropical climate and also experience winter conditions. How? It’s all about elevation change.

When the air rises, the pressure can decrease dramatically. This process creates lower pressure at higher altitudes, which causes much cooler temperatures on a mountain than at sea level.

In this haiku, I wanted to create this scene where your in a warm climate, but can see winter from a distance. However, on this day, the clouds are large and hiding winter from view.

I think there is something majestic here. God created such a wonderful world. Blessings!
