God enthroned above.
Stronger than a lion’s jaw.
Gentler than a dove.
In this haiku, I wanted to express my deep adoration for the living God. He is enthroned above. He is the ruler over all the kings and queens of the earth. His kingdom has no end.
The Lord most high is majestic and powerful. He spoke the cosmos into existence by the word of His mouth. He flung galaxies into being with his outstretched arm. For us, he created the mountains, trees, birds, bees, and all that we see.
God is stronger than the fiercest animals in the wild. His power is infinitely greater than a lion’s grip. Yet he does not govern like a supreme dictator. He is gentler than a dove. He has been called in the Bible: “Prince of Peace.” This is the God I serve. Is this the God you serve?
