Moses and Jesus, both chosen deliverers, were threatened as infants, yet escaped death. Moses’ Passover lamb prefigures Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb. Both fasted for forty days and nights, connecting their divine commissions.
Moses’ bronze serpent symbolizes healing, paralleling Jesus’ role as the ultimate healer. Their lives intertwine, illustrating the remarkable themes of redemption and hope.
Ultimately, the key difference is Moses was only a shadow or type of who God is, whereas Jesus Himself embodied the fullness of deity. Jesus was Immanuel, “God with us.” Praise be to His marveous grace.
